Stephanie Ah Tow is an economist. She is the Manager of the Executive Office of The Mauritius Commercial Bank Limited (MCB). In this capacity, she oversees the efficient execution of cross-functional projects and initiatives under the direct sponsorship of the CEO and DCEO, as well as looks after regulatory matters and relationship management with multilateral organisations and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs). Prior to that, Stephanie was the Senior Economist of MCB and headed the team of economists within the Research Unit of the Strategy, Research and Development division. Previously, Stephanie was MCB’s Strategic Initiatives Management Executive and as such, contributed towards facilitating the strategic thinking and management process by initiating, deploying and managing a portfolio of projects critical to the effective implementation of MCB’s business growth strategy. Before joining MCB, Stephanie worked in the Policy and International Relations department of the Financial Services Commission, the integrated regulator for the non-banking financial services sector in Mauritius, where she undertook policy-oriented research and analysis on a wide range of matters relating to financial sector development, stability and regulation, as well as financial inclusion and education. She also worked at Barclays and holds Economics degrees from the University College London (UCL).
