Dominique Gaillard, who has been active in the private equity market for 28 years, is Chairman of the Executive Board of Ardian France. He joined the company at its foundation in 1997 and currently manages Buyout, Expansion, Growth, Co-investment and Infrastructure activities. He was notably in charge of launching the real estate activity. He has supervised fundraisings for more than 35 funds for a total amount of €20 billion, which has financed and backed more than 400 French and European SMEs and intermediate-sized companies at various development stages.
He joined Charterhouse France in 1990 and was a member of the Executive Board when he left the company in 1997.
He started his career in 1986 with Péchiney as Head of R&D, and was then appointed Marketing and Commercial Director of the Comurhex subsidiary.
He was a France Invest Board Member from June 2011 to June 2015, and Vice Chairman and member of the association’s Executive Committee from June 2013 to June 2015. During the four years of his term he headed the Investor Relation Commission where he helped enhance the dialogue between managers and institutional investors.
An engineer by training, he is a graduate of École Polytechnique, École des Ponts Paris Tech, University of California, Berkeley (Master of Science) and IAE Paris (Master of Business Administration).
